Mont-Tremblant is a place in the Laurentides (Laurentian Mountains) and is located approximately 130 kilometers northwest of Montreal and 140 kilometers northeast of Ottawa. Mont-Tremblant is best known for the Mont Tremblant Ski Resort which is located 5 kilometers from here and is called Mont-Tremblant Village. It lies at the foot of the highest mountain (no less than 875m) called Mont Tremblant (derived from local Algonquin Indians who called it "Trembling Mountain").
