The Top of the Mountain at 875 m
Eighth stop: Mont-Tremblant, QC - stay 3 nights at the Residence Inn Manoir Labelle
Whoever says skiing in the province of Quebec, says Mont Tremblant.
Mont-Tremblant is a place in the Laurentides (Laurentian Mountains) and is located approximately 130 kilometers northwest of Montreal and 140 kilometers northeast of Ottawa.
Mont-Tremblant is best known for the Mont Tremblant Ski Resort which is located 5 kilometers from here and is called Mont-Tremblant Village.
It lies at the foot of the highest mountain (no less than 875m) called Mont Tremblant (derived from local Algonquin Indians who called it "Trembling Mountain").

In the winter months, the surrounding mountains are covered with a thick layer of snow, making the Mont-Tremblant Ski Resort a good business.
Mont-Tremblant is also a good base for visiting the eponymous Parc National du Mont-Tremblant. It is the oldest national park in Quebec.

It is my third time in Mont-Tremblant, twice in the fall and now finally in the snow.
You can spend a fantastic time here and you will be little inside.
In summer, National Park Mont-Tremblant with its 6 rivers, 400 lakes and streams is an eldorado for the canoeist, but you can also make long walks, fishing and much more.
In winter, Mont Tremblant Ski Resort is the ultimate for the skier, the conviviality blows off and music accompanies you through the town.

Unfortunately, with this eighth stop, all comes to an end and I'm leaving straight from here to Montreal International Airport to catch my flight home.
This winter tour is certainly special, but if you are not a lover of cold, it can be done very well in any season of the year.
In 2013 I visited Montreal once as part of my tour Atlantic & Eastern Canada. And in 2002 have a tour called East Canada & Niagara Falls which looks somewhat like this winter tour but still something different.
Well I hope you enjoyed my last special on this Winter Trip - Although not suited for everyone it’s defintately a trip I can highly recommend.

Wie in de provincie Quebec skiën roept, zegt Mont Tremblant.
Mont-Tremblant is een plaats in de Laurentiden (Laurentian Mountains) en ligt ongeveer 130 kilometer ten noordwesten van Montreal en 140 kilometer ten noordoosten van Ottawa.
Mont-Tremblant is het meest bekend om het Mont Tremblant Ski Resort, dat 5 kilometer hier vandaan ligt. Het ligt aan de voet van de hoogste berg (maar liefst 875m) genaamd Mont Tremblant (afgeleid van lokale Algonquin indianen die het "Trembling Mountain" noemden).
In de wintermaanden zijn de omringende bergen bedekt met een dik pak sneeuw, waardoor het Mont-Tremblant Ski Resort goede zakendoet.
Tevens is Mont-Tremblant een goede uitvalsbasis voor een bezoek aan het gelijknamige Parc National du Mont-Tremblant. Het is het oudste nationale park van Québec.
Het is mijn derde keer in Mont-Tremblant, 2 keer in de herfst en nu dan eindelijk in de sneeuw.
Je kunt hier een fantastische tijd doorbrengen en je zult dan ook weinig binnen zijn.
’s Zomers is National Park Mont-Tremblant met zijn 6 rivieren, 400 meren en beekjes een eldorado voor de kanovaarder, maar je kunt hier ook lange wandeltochten maken, vissen en nog veel meer.
’s Winters is Mont Tremblant Ski Resort het summum voor de skiër, de gezelligheid spat eraf en muziek begeleidt je door het plaatsje.
Helaas zit het er met deze achtste stop weer op en vertrek ik vanaf hier rechtstreeks naar Montreal International Airport om mijn vlucht naar huis te halen.
Deze winter rondreis is zeker bijzonder maar kan, als je geen liefhebber van kou bent, heel goed gedaan worden in eigenlijk elk seizoen van het jaar.
In 2013 heb ik Montreal al een keer bezocht als onderdeel van mijn rondreis Atlantische & Oost Canada. En in 2002 heb een rondtocht genaamd Oost Canada& Niagara Falls die enigszins op deze wintertoer lijkt maar toch iets anders.
Ik hoop dat jullie genoten hebben van mijn achtste en laatste special. Alhoewel niet weggelegd voor iedereen, kan ik het iedereen aanbevelen.
