Canyonlands National Park, UTAH Not the Most Visited Park of UTAH but Oh zo Amazing. - Niet het Meest Bezochte Park van UTAH maar Oh zo Verbazingwekkend. Green River Overlook, Canyonlands National Park UTAH or The Beehive State. The state of Utah is home of 5 national parks and although Canyonlands National Park is Utah’s largest national park with 527 square miles, it is also the less visited park of the state. The park is split into three districts:  Island in the Sky 40 min northeast from Moab, The Needles 1.20u south of Moab and  The Maze is not that easy to be reached and will take you 5.30u from Moab so not fit for a day-trip.  The Colorado- and Green River literarily separate the districts. Each of the districts shares a desert atmosphere but do have their own landscapes with canyons, mesas, arches, buttes and spires. Because there are no bridges over the two rivers, there are no roads that lead from one to the other district....

US 89  - Een Unieke “Road Trip” -  Van Grens Tot Grens - US 89 – A Unique “Road Trip” -  From Border to Border   Nu zijn er natuurlijk veel wegen die van Noord naar Zuid gaan maar deze is wel heel bijzonder. De US 89 was oorspronkelijk, dit wel zeggen tot 1992, een verbinding die tussen de grenzen van Canada (Carway Border Crossing) en Mexico (Nogales) liep. Dit is zo’n slordige 2.500 km.

De Route Moki Dugway Tijdens onze reis in 2011, op mijn website te vinden met de naam  Denver Connection , zijn wij van Moab, UT naar Monument Valley, UT/AZ gereden. Aangezien het niet veel kilometers rijden is, hebben wij er voor gekozen om een scenic byway te rijden. (Zie meer later in dit stuk)

ARCHES NATIONAL PARK - ANNOYING GRAFFITI MARKS

ARCHES NATIONAL PARK and probably not the only park suffers from graffiti marks on there landmarks - So please can you be sensible and leave the marks off NO GRAFFITI - take a tattoo if you want to leave a mark. Left a ranger cleaning up the graffiti - it gives them unnecessary work and distroyes nature. Thanks to the all rangers for the clean up.  +ArchesNPS   +NationalParkService
